Collab Collection No.01 - Pitmaster BBQ by Rum and Que
Our first ever Collab Collection release is one we have wanted to do for a long time and it has been a long time in the making! We wanted to release a BBQ flavoured Beef Jerky but we didn't want it to have that traditional artificial "BBQ" flavour that doesn't actually represent BBQ at all. With that in mind, we enlisted the help of NZ Barbecue Pitmaster champs and absolute legends, Matt and Tracey Melville from Rum and Que.
We wanted to achieve a real barbecue flavour without adding any BS so with Matt's help we blended an array of Rum and Que's award winning rubs and sauces with our Prime, 100% Grass Fed NZ Beef to create something that truly represents what BBQ means - Sweet, savoury, tangy with a bit of a kick and a lick of smoke. If you are looking for a real deal meaty BBQ flavour but don't want to wait for 12 hours for that brisket to cook then look no further!

Rum and Que
Unless you have been living under a rock, you will already know the Rum and Que team, but if not, here is a bit of a rundown!
"G’day guys, Matt and Tracey here from Rum and Que. We are stoked to be collaborating with another awesome New Zealand owned business that shares our passion for food and flavour. We are humbled and excited to partner up with The Bootleg team to bring you New Zealand’s first proper BBQ inspired Jerky.
We started our journey 5 years ago when competitive Low n Slow BBQ arrived on New Zealand shores. We went to work creating and perfecting our own home-made BBQ Rubs, Seasonings and Sauces which we have used exclusively in the competitive BBQ circuit, all of which are available in over 300 locations New Zealand wide.
